Methods
1. Medicinal therapy:
After diagnosing the condition of the patient in accordance with the
scientific principles he is placed in a therapeutic program in
accordance with the condition if the condition is a psychiatric
disease then the appropriate treatment is prescribed for such a
condition which can be dispensed from the pharmacy of the outpatient
clinics provided that the patient should be followed up periodically
by his treating physician according to the specified appointments ,
but if the case is addiction then the patient is evaluated from the
medical aspect and the knowledge of the type of the substance of
addiction that the patient takes and the medical complications
resulting from drug abuse and then he is placed in a therapeutic
medicinal program in accordance with the type of the substance used
then his condition is reevaluated periodically until the
disappearance of the symptoms of withdrawal .
2. Psychiatric therapy:
The psychiatrist studies the case individually together with the
family and social complications to discover the type of
psychological disorders, internal disputes from which the patient is
suffering or those resulting from his inability to adjust himself to
those surrounding him and the patient may undergo psychological
tests the detect some of the problems facing the patient and that
are difficult to know in the first stages of treatment then he
starts in psychological sessions to help him get rid of the
pressures , thinking, obsessions and delusions and giving vent to
his latent wishes also the psychiatrist conducts psychological
sessions and group therapeutic sessions ( group therapy ) and also
he acquaints himself with the behaviors and tendencies of the
patient through watching him in the social and recreational
activities that he practices .
3-Social therapy:
Where the social worker conducts the primary interview to get
acquainted with the patient and place in his hands the rules and
regulations of the complex and methods of treatment that he needs in
order to gain his confidence to start the basic treatment also he
conducts the social studies to know the surrounding environment
including the family, friends, education and economic conditions and
the social problems he is suffering from that might be the basic
impetus for the psychological diseases or addiction also the patient
is rehabilitated socially and professionally through parties ,
forums lectures and sports, recreational activities and training
courses also the patient is assisted to precise his hobbies to
express his latent wishes in order to reach to social adjustment
this in addition to teaching the patient some skills and behaviors
to deal with the society after leaving the complex .
1- Therapy through work:
Male or female patients shall be subject to an integrated practical
program consistent with their capabilities and different tendencies
in accordance with the psychological and organic condition and as
the treating physician deems appropriate and then the treating team
evaluate the patient and watch the observations during the
participation of the patient.
The therapy by work takes different forms, means and methods since
the importance of qualification and rehabilitation is subject to
physiological, functional, psychological, cognitive and social rule
and principles which make the services rendered by the section to be
basic services complementing the other therapeutic means and it
include the following:
1. The technical skills of the patients are tested through coloring
of geometric shapes grading from simple shape to compound shape and
after the patient passes this stage he is educated how to draw on
glass and draw on silk and calligraphy, but the gifted patients are
given the chance to express what is inside themselves through the
plastic arts by mixing colors and changing of shapes and the
patients discover themselves through calligraphy.
B- Textile
Through textile the patient learns the simple textile works where he
makes portraits with different sizes and he stretches a piece of
cloth then he draws scenes from the inspiration of nature and the
reality of the environment and he color them with threads of multi
colors.
C. Electricity.
Through electricity the patient knows how to make the electrical
connections such as lamps of all kinds and the connection of the
bell, points and the knowledge of the parts of the electrical
generator.
D. Handcrafts:
In this activity the patient leans different types of artistic works
and how to make frames with different shapes and the artistic pieces
by engraving on wood that is easy to shape as well as learning hoe
to cut the glass for making fish basins and mirrors.
E. Electronics
Electronics are concentrated in how to repair the recorders,
television sets and video players and how to use them and to know
their parts and to be trained on repairing those systems in addition
to the process of recording and recording cassettes from video to
video and from television to television
F. Training on computers and English spoken skills.
G. Training and participation in physical activities within the
compound, in addition to intellectual and recreational activities
within the compound and abroad.
2- Religious therapy:
In the religious therapy concentration is on the strengthening of
the religious restraint in the patients through concentration of
payers, fasting, religious lectures, group and individual sessions
and hosting of scholars, organization of Hajj and Omar trips and
other recreational trips and to exploit the seasons (Ramadan and
Hajj days) for supporting the faith of patients.
6- Physical therapy:
A) Sports Exercises programs: The main objective for the physical
therapy is medical in the first place and it is a physical
recreational activity through various functions and sports
tournaments and at the same time it is therapeutic through exercises
that greatly contribute in increasing the efficiency of the
circulatory and respiratory systems and concentration on
strengthening the muscular and nervous, motor adjustment which is
directly affected as a result of using the narcotics where the
suitable tools and equipment have been made available and these
programs are supervised by specialized coaches .
B) Chinese acupuncture therapy program:
Since it was proved that the Chinese acupuncture therapy has a good
effect in minimizing the acuteness of psychological tension for the
patient such as those occurring when stopping from taking narcotics,
which help the patient tolerate the effects of withdrawal symptoms.
